Case Study
Project Scope
Create the branding, stationery, and homepage for FACTORi, a membership-based content creation center in New York City.
Project Style
For the logo, FACTORi wanted to show their specific blend of industry and artistry through a mix of iconic silhouettes from the two fields.
Industry? Easy! However, to highlight the full depth of creative fields FACTORi is able to accommodate (design, photography, video, music production and recording, etc.), I needed to choose the CORRECT tool from our 'artistry' field. This brought me to the pen - the most widely used and recognizable creative tool in almost every creative field equally.

A branding guide should be as bold as the brand it represents.

Editorial Design
Project Scope:
A souvenir booklet designed for the Lewisburg 'The Big Combo' Film Noir Festival at the Campus Theatre. The booklet should be both an informational piece on film noir and a schedule for the festival.
Project Style:
When developing the designs for this project, I wanted to visually represent the running themes of the film noir cinematic style - both from the past and from the present. Back then, the movies focused on the dark and the gritty - 'Blood, Bullets, and Broken Hearts', as I like to say. Now, we view the genre with a sense of classical reverence.
With the classic 'black-and-red' color palette (along with a nice yellow to contrast) selected, I started dissecting old cinema posters. Cutting out type bars they'd use, character portrayals, and more, I created a small library of recycled vintage cinema poster assets to base my style and layout around.

Stationery Design
Project Scope:
Design a set of direct mail materials for a Visa-Verizon partnership to get consumers to enroll in Verizon's International business calling program.
Project Style:
With the emphasis on 'travel' in this partnership and the prompt calling for an entertaining twist on 'making your money go further,' I developed the graphic of a dollar-bill paper airplane breezing along the cloud-topped mountains.
The layout of the stationery uses type size and color to reinforce positive, attention-grabbing sections of the copy along with the perks the partnership promotion offers.

INFLUENCED BY GRAFFITI, THE GODFATHER, AND TOO MUCH RUN THE JEWELS...
I've been a proud resident of Wonderland, just outside of New York City, for the past 24 years. Some more? Well - I can consume my body weight in caffeine daily, I'm a big fashion fan and sneaker-head, love all things basketball, and...
I LOVE CREATING COOL $#!+.
